The Essential Foundations includes the first 5 lessons covering fundamental skills for dermatology front desk staff at no cost. The Complete Certification Course includes all 11 lessons (the 5 essential lessons plus 6 advanced topics) and awards a Certificate of Completion upon finishing all modules.
The total runtime of all lesson videos combined comes out to ~2 hours and 20 minutes. The exact duration of each lesson can be found in the course syllabus.
However, given that this is probably "new" material for those just starting, it will obviously take longer than just 2 1/2 hours to complete. The videos will likely be paused, notes taken, perhaps rewinding to watch again, etc. Plus, each lesson has a post-quiz which needs to be taken.
But overall, with very little exception, it's safe to say that the course should be comfortably finished in a single workday.
No prior experience is required. In fact, this course is especially designed for those who are new to working at the front desk. The content starts with fundamentals and progressively builds to more specialized knowledge.
Yes, learners will have access for at least 1 year after registration. Some of the material (such as the PDF handouts) are available for download as well.
Absolutely! After completing the first 5 lessons at no cost, you'll be given the option to "upgrade," which will unlock the remaining 6 lessons and enable you to earn your Certificate of Completion.
The Certificate of Completion you earn is simply a recognition of your completion of the course.
The ACDT does have a credential course which hundreds of practices utilize for "back office" training. So although many practices are familiar with the ACDT and appreciate the quality of training we offer, our "Front Desk Essentials" course is not a "nationally-recognized" program (in the traditional sense).
